Editorial Feature – Real Simple Weddings

it all started over an email, a cup of coffee, and a sandwich.

in early 2008, still green behind the ears, carlie & i sat in a booth at the tustin panera, eager to meet the ladies behind two of our favorite brands in the wedding world: leila of inspired by this and carissa of jl designs.

when they arrived, we talked about life and business, pricing and style, goals and dreams.  all the while, i did my best not to stuff my face while we talked [i hate eating while leaving a first impression].  and without any agenda, carlie & i have been blessed to get to know carissa and leila, ever since they first reached out to us, a couple of rookie wedding photographers, just 3 years ago.

so though the news of our recent 2-page feature in real simple’s annual wedding book left us speechless, and completely at the hand of leila and carissa, what we are really thankful for is the friendship we have been given from our colleagues in the industry.

thank you leila.  thank you carissa.  although thank you isn’t enough.
