A Los Angeles Wedding At The Marvimon – Amy and Tom

it happened almost instantly. he finished the long list of reasons why he loved her, highlighting her creativity in making up words to describe things. like… ricrazilous… a combination of the words ridiculous and crazy, which accurately explained how much he loves her. and like i said, it happened almost instantly.

in a moment, he closed up his vows, and before the folded paper & ink reached the inside of his pocket, she leaned over and kissed him. she couldn’t help it. you see… amy loves tom.

after realizing her impulse and feeling the weight of tradition, amy turned to their guests and chuckled along with them at the pre-mature kiss. the ceremony continued, tom broke the glass, everyone shouted mazletov, and the second “first kiss” marked the start of a new chapter for amy & tom.

their love is ricrazilous. and that kind of love is inspiring.

yet again, we had the opportunity to work alongside an epic team of wedding vendors. if you have the chance to meet any of these people, consider yourself blessed. thanks to the staff at the marvimon house in los angeles. at the helm, coordinating everything from the getting ready to the grand exit, style and design team carter & cook made sure the day went off without a hitch. nyrie of symmetry beauty was working away on the finishing hair & makeup touches when we arrived.  aqua vivus rocked the moving picture documentation, and we can’t wait to see the film. the ever-sweet megan from honey and poppies put together every floral accent for the affair and paper and thread made sure the paper goods were off the hook… which they totally were… along with every other part of amy & tom’s incredible los angeles wedding.

A St Regis Wedding – Brooke and Rick

for a couple days, the rain came in. and despite all the it’s-good-luck-if-it-rains-on-your-wedding-day comments, brooke and rick prayed for sunshine. so, when the sun rose this past friday and cut through the clouds that had taken residence over southern california for the week, everyone was pleased. needless to say…

all was good.

on separate wings of the st regis, brooke and rick spent the morning in their rooms, hanging with close friends and preparing to take the next step in their relationship… to marry the person they’d always known was “the one.”

and with a deep blue sky above, more rich than usual thanks to the rain that had cleared any impurities from the atmosphere, two people pledged a pledge that was already apparent in their relationship. they made public what was already known; that they loved each other deeply.

and all was good.

yet again, we had the opportunity to work alongside an all-star team of wedding vendors, including the entire staff at the st regis in dana point, without whom brooke and rick’s wedding would not have flowed quite as smoothly and awesome-ly [is that even a word?]. anyways, at the helm, coordinating everything from the getting ready to the grand exit, planner and designer lindye galloway made sure the day went off without a hitch. the sister team from lashes and locks made sure the girls looked their best AND they even stuck around to help style things during the portraits after the ceremony. husband and wife team kelly and paul from 618 studios were a dream to work alongside, and we can’t wait to see their film. eric trine made the trek down from portland to rock the reception and keep it ever-so-classy with his bow-tie and his tunes. and last but not least, aclassicweddingcar.com made sure brooke and rick were sent off in style.

An Island Wedding On Santa Catalina – Kathleen and Bob

for the first time that day, the sun crept through the clouds and cheers danced across the water from the nearby boat races. 26 miles across the sea, on the little island of santa catalina, excitement began to brew. and though we all made the occasional turn towards the finish line, in hopes of catching just a glimpse of a team finishing the race… without sails and without motors, from newport beach to catalina… those of us who were there for kathleen and bob had something much more meaningful to celebrate.

sure… paddling 26 miles across the open ocean is something worth remarking about. but starting a life together between two people so obviously in love, so wonderfully genuine & caring, is something to sit back and watch.

it was an honor to jump on a boat and hang with your family & friends on what surely will be remembered as the remarkable day you two set sail on your own grand adventure. kathleen & bob, thank you for the invitation.

they say it takes a village… and kathleen and bob’s island wedding was no exception. first, i’ve got to throw a shout out to the incredibly talented videographers from aqua vivus. a good working relationship on the wedding day is crucial between the film/video crew and the photographers, and tom from aqua vivus is an artist and a gentleman. cathy rose, having lived on the island most of her life, rocked the planning and coordination on the wedding day. the floral was orchestrated by tracy of bloom floral and the ace of hearts took to the stage to keep us all dancing into the night.
